Manou means sarong in New Caledonia, and it’s also the nickname of Emmanuelle Bernard, French photographer and globe trotter, who grew up in Ipanema, her infinite source of inspiration. Her photos tell Rio de Janeiro, its inhabitants, its unique landscapes, with tenderness and poetry.⠀
Manou is now also a new brand of sarongs , since Emmanuelle is projecting her pictures on transparent, fluid and light fabrics, to accompany the movements of the bodies and to superimpose her look so carioca to other seafront and beaches.
